FIOS Internet, What Is It, And How Does It Work?

Fios Internet is the modern and hybrid ways companies like Verizon are able to leverage agile fiber-optic networks seen to be more efficient at delivering highspeed internet data than copper cable, by sending the high-capacity Internet, TV streams, and phone signals straight to your home.

By investing in a FIOS-approved router gateway simply means your home Router provides an optimized user experience for Wi-Fi-intensive activities, such as online e-sport(gaming), 4K UHD streaming, and file transfers that involve the movement of large-sized file between servers or computer to remote centralized server transfers.

Fios Internet using an approved router ensures that all essential for smart homes and mobile devices benefits of getting connected to the fastest, strongest signal available within your home without manual intervention in setting it up as FIOS uses Self-Organizing Network technology. The g3100 is also using Tri-bands while the G1100 uses dual bands. The G3100 also has MoCA 2.5 capabilities. The good G1100 is a very good choice for a router. This router offers many good features and comes at a great price.

Fios Quantum gateways are fast becoming more and more popular in many American households today as one of the must-have Fiber-optic modems and internet gateway, but what are Fios gateways?

Fios gateways are the single point of access to all of your connected devices like computers, mobile gadgets, and smart home gadgets outside your home internet network.

Your Fios router acts as a door, while the dueling part “router” determines the shortest possible path for your data to travel from Computer A to Computer B.

In simple terms, think of Fios Quantum gateways as traffic handlers keeping your hallway or apartment staircase functional and orderly.

From a technical point, a Fios gateway is a node (that’s why it is also called a router). By design, it is used in a private computer network, where the role of that router is to act as a critical stopping point for data on its way to your streaming box, mobile phone as it comes from other networks outside your home.

That’s why investing in Fios listed gateways is in your best interest for your seamless communication of data sent back and forth between networks.

Unlike the Fios G3100, the Quantum gateway is not a tri-band gateway. The main difference is that as a tri-band, G3100 gateways literally host atleast two to three separate 5 GHz networks at a time, and as a node within a network, tri-band gateways like Fios G3100 automatically sorts a cluster of all connected devices into manageable different networks according to availability of data capacity, eliminating traffic bottlenecks associated with cable internet. Fios internet offers more speed to share among your devices.
